World Runners Team at the Oakland Running Festival

World Runners will be participating in the Oakland Running Festival on March 27-28, 2010.

To join the World Runners Team, please contact team captain Emil Gluekler at 408-509-1911 or at emilworldrunners.org You can run in one of the following events: Marathon, Half Marathon, 4-Person Relay, Twilight 5K, and Kids Fun Run - please register for these events directly at the Oakland Running Festival website.

To join the World Runners Support Team, please contact Caren Cole at 415-925-8944 or at carencolecomcast.net We will support the Oakland Running Festival organization and also all World Runners competing in the events.

You are invited to join the fundraising campaign for World Runners sponsored programs on secondary education of girls in rural East Africa and micro-loan programs to support families, mainly women, in creating sustainable livelihoods. Contributions may be made on our Donations page.

Watch the World Runners movie from the 1980 Oakland Marathon. Now thirty years old the film is timeless in that it still poignantly describes World Runners' mission. For fun see how many World Runners you recognize and if you do let us know who. Even we don't know who all of them are.
