2009 Labor Day Run for a Healthy World

Yes, there will be a second Run for a Healthy World race this coming Labor Day, September 7! The Labor Day race will start and end in the Sunnyvale Baylands Park. There will be a 5K run/walk and a 10K run. Both are on flat courses run mostly through the marsh lands on a mix of levee trails (with some single track parts), dirt and paved roads. Sound familiar? The funds raised from this event will support the education of young women in Africa, microfinance in Central America and the The Health Trust locally. Join the Sprint to the Finish to raise funds and win an iPod nano: (Contest Rules) Opportunities for Friends and Family: All races depend on volunteers, lots of them. Online registration closes at midnight, Friday, September 4th.
Race day registration will be available from 7:00 AM on Monday, September 7th.
Bib and tee shirt pickup on race day...after 7:00 AM.
Race Divisions - Male and Female:
Open1, 9 and under1, 10-191, 20-29,
30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+1
1 – Age graded division
Race Awards:
Three deep in each age division and to age graded open winner in each race.
